“Just Like I Treat You” was a stomping Delta blues in the style of “Down in the Bottom.” Wolf shouted his vocals lustily over a swaggering rhythm by Gray and Lay, accompanying himself on acoustic slide guitar. Darting all over the neck of his guitar, Sumlin added accents, flourishes, and bursts of notes. “I Ain’t Superstitious” was a slow stop-time blues, typical of Dixon, with a repeated rhythm riff and a strong Wolf vocal. The lyrics, full of fear and mojo, were ideal for Wolf:
Well, I ain’t superstitious, black cat just cross my trail. (2×)
Don’t sweep me with no broom, I might get put in jail.
When my right hand itches, I get some money for sure. (2×)
But when my left eye jump, somebody got to go.
